A break... on game developing to try new things on android... this time is a live wallpaper.
3D bubbles simulation going through your phone screen.
A couple of available versions at android market, one lite, with green bubbles and black background, and other full for 0.75€, which let you try new configurations of background/bubble colors and amounts of bubbles.
You can try the lite... and if you like... I strongly recommend the full version, which will soon receive new versions.
These are some screensshots:

Testing posibilities.... 1st September
Well, dates are not exactly... but meanwhile I was checking my new phone capabilities... ideas were running... first... why do not make a little demo to test the accelerometer?
Things I needed...
*a tutorial to show me how could I get access to it... (take a look to related links)
*something to let me show more than a simple text on the screen... so I decided to start using an animated sprites
Using the output parameters of the accelerometer you can easily apply them to change the sprite position... making a small sprite sliding through the screen.
If you complete this limiting the sprite movements inside the screen borders and using an animated ball sprite, the result is a "little demo" of how the accelerometer could be used to interact with game elements.

The beginning... 15th August 2010
Once upon a time... there was a guy who bought one of those new android mobiles... exactly a motorola millestone. He started testing the possibilities of this device... multi-touch... accelerometer... nice big screen... keypad... all seems very interesting... and then the idea came out.
Why do not try making a game for this mobile?
Enough for a first approach on this new SO... a bit problems while trying this "hello world" on the device, but none that a quick google could not fix... new usb drivers were needed , there were a little problems while integrating device+sdk+eclipse... but solved at the end.
TOOLS USED:
Eclipse 3.6.1 & Android SDK

Why do not try making a game for this mobile?
- First step... download android sdk...
- Second step... configure IDE (eclipse).
- Third step... android hello world!

Cthulhu Spores v1.0 free Android Game 2D physics+accelerometer
Hi I have just developed a new game for Android. It is free and you can download it from the Android market.
I will be very pleased if you could send me some feedback about it, opinions, advices, bugs, devices tested... everything will be welcome.
Thanks
Cthulhu Spores make use of a 2D physics engine associated with the accelerometer input.
Move the mobile to let Cthulhu convert new spores for him, when all the spores are green try to keep them green during the conversion time.
